| General Course Objectives: Conceptual issues in Behavior Analysis and the Radical Behaviorism of B.F. Skinner will be studied and discussed. Such topics as thinking, verbal behavior, knowledge, the mind, problem solving, phylogeny and ontogeny of behavior will be addressed. The student will critique the assumptions that underlie Radical Behaviorism as a philosophy of science and apply them to cultural practices and the design of cultures. Issues related to "rule-governed behavior" and the principle of selection by consequences will be addressed. | |
