Welcome to a live animal training experience!

The  Experimental Analysis of Behavior Research Seminar teaches basic behavioral principles through direct contact with the subject matter. Rather than simply "reading about" reinforcement effects, discrimination training, shaping, extinction, etc. students will use  primary and conditioned reinforcement along with extinction when completing shaping and discrimination training assignments with a "virtual subject" (computer simulation) AND with a live, laboratory, nonhuman subject ( a pigeon).

"The important thing is not so much to know how to solve a problem as to know how to look for a solution." (B.F. Skinner)
