Delaying the Terminal Link Stimulus Onset in Concurrent Chains Schedules

With no delay, Bird 47 responded to both sides nearly equally (with a slight preference for the right side),  When a 5s delay was introduced between the offset the initial link stimulus and the onset of the terminal link stimulus on the right schedule, she responded more to the left schedule, when the delay was shifted to the left, she started responding more to the right and when the delay was removed she moved back to near baseline levels.

For this bird, when amount and time to food were held constant but the putative conditioned reinforcement of the terminal link stimulus onset was weakened (by delaying it), responding was shifted to the side without the delay.
