The Psychology Department at California State University, Stanislaus is committed to:

The undergraduate program in Psychology:
- fosters an understanding of psychology that reflects an integration of a variety of theoretical perspectives within Psychology.
- provides an understanding of the principles of Psychology within a broad liberal arts perspective
- provides undergraduates with applied experiences and research opportunities rarely found in undergraduate psychology programs
The Master of Science Programs in Behavior Analysis and Counseling:
- adhere to the Scientist-Practitioner Model and reflect the balanced integration of theory, research, and practice
- train students to ensure that their work is informed by the research base of empirically-validated interventions
- train clinicians to evaluate client progress frequently, and to modify treatments based on fact finding and critical analysis
The Master of Arts Program:
- allows students to pursue individual interests, framed in a thorough understanding of both theory and research
- helps prepare students for doctoral study in psychology and academic careers
