Practica and Licensure

Practica

Practicum guidelines follow those of the State of California for a MFT certified program. Graduate students receive weekly supervision both at their practicum site and on campus. Students must complete 150 hours of direct client contact over two semesters.

Licensure

The M.S. Counseling Psychology is accredited by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and meets the course and practica requirements for pre-licensure (MFT Intern). Successful graduates are qualified to pursue licensure for the California Marriage and Family Therapist license (MFT).
