Prerequisites for the M.S. Psychology Degree with a Concentration in
Behavior Analysis*
- Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Undergraduate coursework (each with a grade of B or better) in:
- Learning or Behavior Analysis
- Research Methods
- Abnormal Psychology
- Counseling Theory
- Counseling Techniques
- Human Development
- Satisfactory performance on Graduate Record Exam
- Prior knowledge or training in behavior analysis
*These are suggested minimum requirements, but admittance in the program
is decided on a combination of these factors in addition to experience,
personal statements, reference letters and interviews.
The two-step written application process
Application is a two-step process with separate application forms for
each step:
- Complete an application to California State University,
Stanislaus.
CSU
Mentor provides a method for applying for all CSU campuses
online. You can obtain a printed version of the university graduate

- Complete the application the California State University,
Stanislaus Psychology Department Masters Program. Our
department application is available for download, you will need
a copy of

printed version of the Department of Psychology graduate application
by contacting our office at (209) 667-3386.
Note: Eligible students can be admitted to the California State
University, Stanislaus without being admitted to the Psychology Masters
Program in Behavior Analysis. This status is call Post-Baccalaureate and
allows students to enroll and complete University courses at both the
undergraduate and graduate level. This status us often used by students
completing prerequisite courses for the program.
